Meet the Team

Bob Wahl has been an optician since 1977. His father opened Wahl Optical in 1937, and it has been a family owned and operated business ever since. Bob’s favorite line of products is Oakley. He specializes in helping patients choose the best Oakley ophthalmic and sunglass frames.

Bob is very passionate about his customers softball, and his three dogs.

Chanda grew up in Council Bluffs, IA. She joined Wahl Optical in 1995 and brings over 25 years of experience. She also has a degree in marketing from Iowa Western Community College. Not only is she a very well experienced optician, but she knows the fundamentals of business. She is overall a jack of all trades in the optical industry. She also takes time to educate patients on different types of lenses and helping them choose the perfect lens for their occupation and life style. Have questions about your insurance? Chanda will explain your insurance to you. She truly is very passionate about what she does. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and loves cats!

Dr. Taylor Neumann graduated with honors from the Southern College of Optometry in 2016. During his optometric education, Dr. Neumann completed rotations at The Eye Center at SCO in Memphis, TN; Omaha Eye and Laser Institution in Omaha, NE; and Schulz Eye Care in New Port Richey, FL. The time spent at these rotations allowed him to obtain a well rounded experience in the optometric field, including: ocular disease management, primary care, contact lenses, and vision therapy. Dr. Neumann performs comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens fittings. He also provides care for patients with ocular conditions, such as cataracts, dry eyes, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. He is a member of the Iowa Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Morgan Gant attended Council Bluffs Public Schools. She has serviced us for 5 years in-between sports, high school and now college. She attends Grandview University, class of 2023, where she is triple majoring in Computer Science, Math and Data Science. She also plays Soccer and is president of the Math and Computer Science club. She is very involved and loves helping adults as well as children. In the shop she helps with bookwork, finding frames for patients, taking measurements, booking appointments and she controls our Face book page! Morgan puts a lot of effort into making sure patients are taken care of and are satisfied with their experience!
